Fact-Checking Policy
How we catch errors before publishing, and how to report one if you spot it.
Before an article publishes
Every article passes automated checks before it goes live: a duplication check against everything already published (so we're not just rephrasing an existing article), and a structural check on length, sourcing, and formatting.
Specific factual claims — statistics, legal or visa guidance, cultural practices tied to a named tradition — are expected to cite a source. See our Sources Policy for what counts as a good one.
After an article publishes
Robin, LumiWed's founder, reviews and spot-checks published articles and is personally accountable for what's on the Journal. If something's wrong, we fix it — we don't leave errors up because a correction is inconvenient.
Report an error
Found something inaccurate, outdated, or culturally off? Send us the article link and what you spotted. We read every message and correct real errors as soon as we can confirm them.
