AI Usage Policy

Exactly how AI is used to write and illustrate the Journal — no hedging.

Most articles are AI-drafted

Most Journal articles are drafted with AI assistance as part of a structured pipeline: a research stage finds current, real news and cultural context; a drafting stage writes the article body from that research; a metadata stage adds the summary, FAQs, and cited sources.

We're telling you this plainly because we'd rather you trust what's actually true about how the Journal works than assume it's all written by a staff we don't have.

What keeps it honest

Every draft runs through automated checks before publishing: a check against everything we've already covered so we're not republishing the same topic with a different headline, and a structural check on sourcing, length, and format. Nothing publishes that fails either check.

Human accountability

Robin, LumiWed's founder, sets the editorial standards the pipeline runs under, spot-checks what's published, and is personally accountable for the Journal's content — see our Editorial Policy and Fact-Checking Policy for how corrections work.
